Hi there, Chiefs Kingdom!

Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and that means lots of AMAZING food! Now, my cooking abilities are limited, so I’m always looking for fast and easy recipes. One of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes is sweet potato casserole! I found this great recipe from Sixsistersstuff.com via Pinterest.

  • 6-8 yams
  • 1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups mini marshmallows

Tips and Tricks: Holiday Side Dish Recipe: Sweet Potato Casserole
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Boil yams for 20 minutes in a large pot, or until they are easily pierced with a fork, and drain them.
  3. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and spread boiled yams inside.
  4. Distribute small pieces of butter and cinnamon evenly over the yams.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar then miniature marshmallows over yams.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes or until sweet potatoes are tender and the marshmallows have melted.
